This piston fits in a stock bore block. It is a dished piston (10cc) like the oem 40hp piston. It is compatible with stock length rods or our 5.490 length rods. These pistons are clearanced for the 40hp stock rod although we always recommend billet rods. These use the stock wrist pins, and JE ring part number JG-1001-3366. Wrist pins and rings arent included. Why dont we include these? Being in Canada shipping rings from the US, to Canada and then back to the US would double the cost of rings. This adds unnecessary cost to the client. These pistons even after counting the cost of the rings come in cheaper than the OEM Briggs crap 40hp part. As seen in the photos these pistons have not only been tested but also came out of testing with great success. They were designed to be very robust and this was proven with an engine that dropped a valve. The piston saved the engine from major short block damage. These pistons have been running on the water for a while but simply haven’t been available to the public yet. This the ideal turbo or stock replacement piston. Price is per piston. Two are required.
